EA is allowing users of its Origin game platform to download The Sims 4 for free. Origin users on Windows PC and Mac can now download the base game with no DLC until May 28, 2019. You’ll be able to keep and play the game until after May 28.
The Sims 4 was designed by the Maxis company but it has a different publisher - Electronic Arts. Users can download Sims 4 game, DLC, Mods and play it today but note that the game is not free. There is no such offer available for The Sims fans on PS4 and Xbox One. However, subscribers to EA Access on Xbox One can play The Sims 4 as part of their subscription.
The Sims 4 fans are little suspicious about the freebie offer. The Sims 4 sales are incredibly high, so some are discussing why EA would make the game free if it is still so popular.
Some have suggested that this is to help to grow the game’s active player numbers some more, to make it look better for shareholders. Some have also suggested that this will allow EA to sell more Sims 4 DLC packs.

Revenue from The Sims 4 has grown but sales of DLC packs have fallen. Growing the playerbase and the number of potential DLC buyers with it could help to fix that.

New control mechanics in CAS
CAS stands for Create a Sim. And in The Sims 4 full game, the developers designed a new control mechanism. From now, the sliders have been removed: the developers replaced them with mouse manipulation in the full version of the game. It means that to change the Sim's facial features, such as a nose, and eyes, and so on, you need to perform mouse manipulation (drag, drop, click, and pull). It also relates to body changes. No sliders anymore, excluding fitness and fatness levels.
