The perception Epic Games has for Fortnite is perhaps different from every other gaming franchise. Their idea is to transform Fortnite into a representational platform that encompasses all the spheres of life.

This will embed the game as a pillar of popular culture for years to come. However, the Apple vs. Epic Games legal battle is taking its toll on the community.

For players on iOS or MacBook, Fortnite is closing shop pretty soon. They are already barred from playing Chapter 2, Season 4.

Fortnite: Save The World will not have updates for players on Mac

The blog posted on Twitter mentioned, “Apple is preventing Epic from signing games and patches for distribution on Mac, which ends our ability to develop and offer Fortnite: Save the World for the platform. Specifically, our upcoming v14.20 release will cause bugs for players on v13.40, resulting in a very poor experience.”

In a dramatic turn of events, Epic Games announced that Fortnite: Save The World updates would not be available for Mac anymore. This comes as another aftermath of the lawsuit. Surprisingly, the Fortnite community expected this eventuality.

The Apple Vs. Epic battle is creating an extensive incongruity in the entire community. A significant section is still stuck in Chapter 2, Season 3.

At the same time, this void is not being filled at all. Thus, players are being forced to quit the game they love or change platforms to play Fortnite.

Reports suggest that millions of players have already made the move to shift to PC, PlayStation, or Xbox. However, several Apple device users simply had to quit the game due to this reason.

The announcement that Save The World would not have any more updates after v13.40 is a disappointment. Unlike Battle Royale, Save The World takes players back to the origins of Fortnite. It gives players a chance to focus on their solo campaign much more than anything else.

This gesture proves that Epic Games love their community. The blog suggests various ways to reconnect with Fortnite. Thus, in the end, it’s predictable that Fortnite: Battle Royale might soon be removed from iOS and Mac devices.
