New game modes in Call of Duty Modern Warfare
With this update, players can now Face-off with each other in intense gunfights in maps like Stadium, Livestock, and Station. All these maps are smaller in size and rarely leave a chance for camping. Consequently, the gunfights are intense and quick.
Hardpoint Hills and Kills game mode is also returning with this playlist update. There are some noticeable changes in the mode this time because the maximum achievable score is 400 now. The mode is very similar to Deathmatch Domination, where players get points for holding territories and killing enemies. In Hardpoint Hills and Kills, the players get points for holding the Hard Point and eliminating opponents.
Due to a high maximum score, players who like to play long matches will love the mode.
New changes in Modern Warfare maps and Warzone
New 24/7 playlist maps will include Rust, Scrapyard, Vacant and Hard Hat. Players can select these maps and play every game mode in them.
Last but not least, Plunder mode in Call of Duty: Warzone is also returning. As a basic battle royale rule, players need to be the last survivor to win a Warzone game. However, in the Blood Money Quads, players have to earn the most cash in the lobby to win. Also, players can respawn if they get killed.
There are two ways to win a Blood Money Quads game in Call of Duty: Warzone. Teams can either collect maximum cash in thirty minutes or be the first team to secure a million dollars. Players need to secure their cash at drop stations, or they lose their money when killed.
The new playlist update brings back a lot of things for the players. With Call of Duty Cold War just around the corner, Modern Warfare developing team will have to work harder to retain its own user base.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 7 is not completely out of the question, but all signs point to Season 6 being the last one. (Image Credit: Activision)Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 6 is over, and it looks like there won't be a Season 7. MW won't get abandoned however, with updates still on the cards for Infinite Ward's release.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 6 came to an end and players have been wondering over whether or not there will be a Season 7. It was always said that Modern Warfare would continue to be supported after the release of Black Ops Cold War but there's been no official information about a new season.
Official info still doesn't exist, but there is a tweet from Reed Shingledecker, Lead VFX Artist at Infinity Ward, which at least promises new content:
There is more content coming. I just don't know the official name of it. Hope some info gets released soon so people know what's going on.— Reed S. (@fx_reed) November 23, 2020In the tweet, the developer confirms that new content for Modern Warfare will be released, but he himself does not know when it will come or what format it will come in.
Why No Season 7?
There are several reasons for this:
- Season 6 has already ended and even Infinity Ward employees do not know the format in which new content will be released in the future. This makes a Season 7 very unlikely.
- Infinity Ward is already working hard on the sequel to Modern Warfare, which will be launched next year as per the usual release schedule. The studio will rather have developers working on the new game rather than Modern Warfare.
- Black Ops Cold War will be integrated into Warzone on December 10. This integration will also unify the entire progress system of BOCW, MW and Warzone. Warzone will in all likelihood mesh with Black Ops Cold War Seasons from then on, making a new Modern Warfare Season unnecessary.
These are only some of the reasons why we won't have a Season 7 in Modern Warfare, but nothing has been officially confirmed yet. Even the most hardcore MW faithfuls must accept that these are all valid points and gear up for a decrease in content quantity and the farewell to M2 Seasons.
